WTF is happening at mayos?
You know, ss's lovely post reminded me of a saying my mum likes to remind us of. It goes like this:
If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all.
Says it all really.
A lot of people could do with following this advice.

When you walk through a storm
Keep your chin up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At he end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown.Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone.
RIP

hey miss T!
20 years!
i cried so hard then and i did today listening to the memorial service at Anfield.
i lurked for a bit at mayo's but am avoiding. generally hating being piggy in the middle.
take care miss T!
oh yeah and Man Utd had a good win in Europe tonight. Check out Ronaldo's fucking toptastic goal! You'd be lying if you didn't say it was fucking fantastic!!
he he! sorry!
but, three English teams in Europe. it makes me damn proud!
♥
Hiya FASC sweetie.
I was there that day. We used to go to my grans for lunch every saturday when we were younger. And our route took us in front of the wednesday ground.
There were sooooooooo many fans there they were spilling across the road. So many more than usual. It took us ages to get through the traffic. I remember sitting in the back of the car and looking up at the sky. You know, if I shut my eyes, I can still remember what the sky looked like that day.
After lunch dad said he wasn't gonna risk that traffic again so we'd go home the other way. The "other" way took us past the northern general hospital. Ambulance after abmulnace was speeding out of the entrance.
When we got home my dad asked our neighbour what had happened and he said "put your TV on now". And you know what we saw. When they stopped showing it on the sports show cos it got too gruesome, our local news kicked in so we saw it for hours, we saw all the grisly details.
So even though I wasn't there there, I was in enough places to see more than most people, we saw it from all angles you could say.
I'll never forget it. Still makes me cry thinking about it. And the lies the police told afterwards makes me even sadder.
It's a shame Liverpool couldn't quite beat Chelsea last night (stonking match).
I haven't seen the Man U goal yet. But I'm sure the young Cliff Richard lookalike's goal was good if you say so.
♥
Since I live in the states, there was a small blurb on the news about it, but that was pretty much it. A grand tally at the end of how many died that day and then it got lost in the shuffle of the news. No doubt taken over by a report of something not nearly important.
When you listed the names and ages - I had no idea how young nearly all the people were. It's such a shame.
As for Mayos. I don't know what's going on over there. It's very, um, yuck. Seems like Mayo doesn't even want to go there anymore either. Can't say I don't blame him/her.
Hiya Jenn sweetie.
It was a huge story here, it still is. The victims families are still 20 years later waiting for compensation and for someone to be held accountable.
The youngest victim was 10 and he was the cousin of Steven Gerrard who is the current Liverpool captain. I bet his family couldn't be more proud of him.
As to mayos (groan). It's a place I don't want to be. I feel this more and more and it's sad cos there are still lovely people there that I like to chat to. Surely, it can't go on much longer like this.
Hi Miss T!
Thanks for stopping by. I'm really glad to hear that your boobages are A-OK! (Ernie's still around somewhere, I think.)
I hate the month of April with a passion. Too many people die in April.
Of course, I have no idea what's going on @ Mayo's. Or why The Porch is closed. But that's nothing new, is it? You *know* you're a loser when nobody even notices you're gone. :{
Back to hiding, ♥ to you! *hugz*
I miss you too.
♥
Hiys Sis M sweetie.
You are always missed. When you are not here there is a big gaping sis M sized hole where you should be.
Great to have you back sweetie.
xxxxxxx
I wuv you solly ♥
I wuv you more.
It's sad when a tragedy happens like that and nobody is held accountable. After all this time, you'd think they'd be further along in the process.
There are still nice people at Mayos. I just am not "feeling" it right now. Everytime I speak, I'm thinking that I'm going to get slammed by some unknown person. And that's not much fun. So I avoid it pretty much.
hey miss T!
I hadn't realised you were there at the time. not there there, but in the vicinity. is this why you have a soft spot for Liverpool? the team i mean? or cos you went to Uni there. either way that's all cool. i get so emotional about the whole Hillsborough thing. absolutely awful. and looking back at the footage. such memories. and in a way it does feel like 20 years!!
anyway take care babe. i am away this weekend, not that i am anywhere in blogbelieve much anyway. hi to all the folk above^^ solly, Jenn, sister midnight!
i think mayo writes very lovely words, and i do think it bothers him/her (he's a bloke for sure??!) that things are a little sparce. but i am not feeling like being there at the mo. not that i don't care for the folk there, i just hate the hate that is apparent between folk there and not there anymore.
i will comment there again, just needed a break.
take care miss T. keep training! you only have a few weeks to go!!
♥
*hugz* Thanks, Miss T.
♥♥♥ to you, sweetie.
Hey MissT. Just wanted to pop by to say "Hey."
I wuv you even more solly ♥ ♥ ♥
xxxx
Good news on the Hilssborough front Jenn, MP's are saying the secret files should be opened now even though it usually takes 30 years. Maybe now they will get some justice.
xxxx
FASC, that is exactly why I have a soft spot for Liverpool, that and the Uni thing.
I know what you mean about mayos, I have been tending to only make one or two comments per evening lately.
I hope you had a great weekend away.
xxxx
Huge hugz to you sis M sweetie ♥ ♥ ♥

Hey to you too Jenn sweetie xxxxx
