Well, who doesn't love cotton candy?
I know I sure do!
Glad you all had a wonderful trip.
TTYL
Jenn, she can eat it by the bucket load LOL.
I love scary movies. I always have. I had a friend in college who was a huge scary movie buff. He had tapes of the most obscure movies. Good and creepy. We would have all nighter parties watching these with friends. Good clean fun - and scares.
I never knew a group of people like that existed. It was so much fun.
He would plan the movie selection for the next party and we would figure out where we would go.
(Mom, we did host one or two BTW)
I learned a lot about the movies, stories, actors. Loved the education. We watched so many and had a blast. Some movies did scare me and some just made me laugh.
I agree, getting stuck with the stupid ones would scare me the most.
I share your love for scary movies. I will always believe that the best ones were in the VHS tape era.
Did I tell you that our gang would pool their money and send the tallest lad into blockbusters cos they never stopped him renting the 18 certificate films LOL. Then it was back home, curtains drawn and scary fun. Gotta love a scary film night.
Ah, VHS. My brother and I would rent movies all the time. A friend would work the counter so I didn’t have to worry about the age thing.
Scary fun is the best fun. My college friends knew how to enlighten us unenlightened souls.
Btw, I LOVE Eddie Izzard. He is such a bright comic. His general world knowledge is fascinating. So much that sometimes I feel like a stooge during his performances. He’s one of my favorites.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssss!
You love Eddie Izzard. I knew you were bloody brilliant.
I’ve loved Eddie from way back. We have all his dvds. We also made sure that the boy grew up with good humor in the house.
We also tend to quote him at odd moments. He just cracks me up. I tried to see him a couple years ago but the tickets sold out too quickly.
Great minds think alike. Me and sis quote Eddie loads too. We love saying cake or death, ooooh, cake please.
There was this documentary he presented about when the Monty Python's Life of Brian was released and how the church hated it and he says "Monty Python thought they had made a film about someone called Brian, the church thought they had made a film about Jesus, but Jesus is spelt different". Makes me laugh every time I think about it.
“If you’re out of cake, does that mean I get ‘or death’?” I love that one. And the Heimlich maneuver. The “me maneuver.” Cracks me up all the time.
We’re also huge python fans. Hells Grannies. Oh my.
We tried to raise the boy with an exposure to humor. My mother was very strict about movie/television watching, but my father would take us kids out to see great movies.
We showed “the holy grail” to him wh n he was about 7. He just loved the silliness. “Camelot” was a huge hit. We wore out the tape on that one.
You gotta love a kid with a sense of humour, you did the right thing. LOL "does that mean I get death" cracks me up every time.
Yesterday, mum asked little madam if she wanted t sit on her knee and watch her cartoons and she turned round, looked at her and said "No way Jose". Mum couldn't stop laughing for ages.
