Week 18

Well, as you can see, I am back.

I have my laptop back. They checked it out and it was fine. I had checked it myself first though so I knew it was.

I have a replacement power pack.

Take this as a warning people and unplug/ look after anything electrical with a power pack cos it could blow up and set your house on fire.

Not much else happening.

The football season is coming to an end. I was proud of my Spurs boys for winning the Carling cup.

I'm not really bothered about the Euro championships cos England aren't in it.

At least the F1 season has started again and I have that to cheer on.

It was a good race last Sunday. We have had a variety of different winners so far this season, which is good. I hate seeing the same people win all the time.

Well, that's all really. Not much to report as yet.

I shall let you know if I win the lottery tonight ha ha ha!

P.S. they have done the draw. It's back to work for another week.

Week 17

I am blogging this a few days early.

I am without my laptop again because the power pack exploded.

I have had to send my computer off to the shop again.

I am managing to get on my sis's computer a few days a week for emails.

I hope I won't be without it for long.

It went pop, bang and there were flames and smoke and it fused the house electrics.

Luckily nothing got burned and the flames burned themselves out.

I shall keep you updated.

I hope you are having better luck than I am.

Week 16

Last night I went to see Good Charlotte at the Sheffield Carling Academy. This venue is newly acquired by the Carling group as it used to be the tacky Roxy's nightclub. It was the kind of nightclub where girls danced round handbags and wore black tights with white stilettos. Yuck.

Good Charlotte were fantastic. I have seen them about 4 times now and they have a great rapport with the crowd. For Americans, they have a very British sense of humour. What I love about them is that they do their homework about places, they know about regional rivalries and football teams. They kept teasing us by pretending that they thought they were in Manchester.

It was the last night of the tour so it was very relaxed and they did a lot of chatting and took requests for songs. The support act was Rooney. They were very good but not my kind of music. They sounded very ELO at times and I'm not into grandad music ha ha ha ha!

Paris Hilton was sat at the side of the stage for part of the show. Shock horror, she was actually fully clothed in trousers a t-shirt and a jacket.

It was a great evening and when I got home I had a lovely cheese and tomato toastie before heading off to bed.

Week 15

This week I am going to my friends house for a get together on Saturday so I won't be in blogland.

This friend is so inspirational. She had breast cancer and totally helped me through when my mum was diagnosed.

She has recently had to have a mastectomy but views it as a positive thing. She amazes me all the time and I think she is great.

It's a busy week for going out as I am also out on Sunday night.

Me and my sis are off to see Good Charlotte at the Sheffield Academy. It was her birthday present to me. I have seen Good Charlotte 3 times before and they are always good.

This week I will be a right little dirty stop out.
