Week 22

So, my mum's friend sent me some belated birthday money so tomorrow I am going to town with mum to spend it. It is bank holiday here so it is bound to rain.

Friday, might meet up with army guy.

Week 21

So, today I went to see my benefits advisor. They are still really keen to pay for my teaching course and wanted me to give them details of various places that run the course. I have given them details of places in Sheffield and London. Now it is up to them to ring round and see which places are willing to do all the paperwork and sign up to the diamond scheme with the job centre.

The army guy is still texting me every few mins. He is getting quite saucy, we have been swapping pictures. He is very good at this text sex thing. He still wants to meet up next weekend so we'll have to see how it goes.

Even if nothing comes from it, it has been a laugh so far. He is a naughty but very sweet guy.

He looks great in uniform but even better out of it (if you know what I mean).

Week 20 my weekend with DG

Friday evening I caught the train to Manchester and DG picked me up from the station. She took me back to her new flat which is absolutely lovely. She has gone for a sliver and black colour scheme which looks great.

After chatting for a while, we went to the local pub which was really nice. We stayed for a couple of drinks. We chatted loads then went home to order pizza.

DG has a new hamster which is a total cutie and she loves buying new houses and toys for him. He is her little baby.

Saturday we caught the bus into town and DG had her hair done. I have included before and after pics. She went blond and cos she was dark before, she had to have the bleach on for ages. It looks cool though. She is gonna get it even lighter next time.

Then we went for DG to get her tattoo. I have included a pic but you can't really see the writing as it is very small. The tattooist said it was the smallest writing he has ever done. It is latin.

After getting something to eat and coming back to DG's, we went to the flat of her friends who live opposite her. They were really lovely. We chatted for a bit then it was time for DG to drive me back to the station.

I got home yesterday evening and vegged out.

I had a great time. Her flat is beautiful and her hamster is gorgeous.

Week 19

Yay, the summer has arrived.

The weather this week has been fantastic. I hope it lasts.

It's so nice to see people smiling wherever you go. Have you noticed how that happens when it is sunny?

Well, I am working all day Thursday so that I can have Friday off.

On Friday, I shall enjoy the sunshine as I walk down to the garage to pick up my sister's MOT certificate.

Then I'm off to the post office to get her car taxed.

What a lovely sister I am doing these errands for her.

Then Friday evening it is pizza as always. God, I love Fridays.


I hope you are all having a lovely time. I feel quite happy at the mo, amazing how the sight of the sun will do that.

If only I could win the lottery too. Life would be complete.

I had a phone call today from the lady at the benefits office.

The bad news is that I can't do the teaching course at the London venue I had chosen.

The reason is that they have to sign up to be a part of the benefits system before I can be funded to go there and they won't sign all the paperwork cos they say it's pointless as not many people from up north will go there as they are London.

The good news is that the benefits agency ARE WILLING TO PAY FOR MY COURSE!!!!!!!

I have to find somewhere in Sheffield or London who will sign up to their thing and then I can do it.

They asked me to look some places up on the Internet and to give them the info. I shall do that next week.

Please keep your fingers crossed for me.
