Week 31

After we had the recording box in, it picked up his noise and the council went round the other day to issue our neighbour with a caution.

They must have said something about his trampy house cos the next day, a truck pulled up outside and he was loading loads of black bags into the back. it was like a mountain. All that crap had been inside his house.

His back garden is still like a jungle.

Our other neighbour phoned the council to complain about him today cos she had just put her washing on the line when he started a bonfire. The tickturd puts petrol and oil on the fire so the smoke is like nothing you've ever seen.

Well, she shouted obscenities at him then phoned to complain.

On a plus note. That teaching course fell through because the institutions wouldn't sign up to the job centre contracts and the job centre wouldn't pay £1,500 without having a contract with the place.

I thought everything was lost but I went back online and found a three day intensive course that gives you the same qualification.

I thought, it can't be as good but it is run my the London Metropolitan University and the lesson plans looks really good.

And with it just being £215, it was authorised straight away and the money should be in my account by the end of the week.

Now I just have to see when is a good time to stay with my uncle (cos he has custody of his son in the holidays) and book a place.

Week 30

Hi everyone, how are you? Well I hope.

I want to take this moment to thank all of you who mentioned Eric while I was gone. I am so touched that you did.

I also want to give a big thanks to SS and BC who put my dad's name on their blogs. That was amazing guys, I'm so moved.

SS, I always seem to miss you lately but the little things that you do just make me all gushy. you are one sweet dude.

BC, you are a sweetie and I've told you before but I think you are a darling.

So, we had a nice few days at the coast. We went to the sea front and did the customary thing of feeding the seagulls with doughnuts. I always manage to make one eat from my hand. My mum swears at least one of them is the reincarnation of dad come to get his annual doughnuts. That's why we do it, cos dad loved the doughnuts and the seagulls.

Speaking of seagulls, I have discovered that they never sleep. They squawked all night long, I didn't get much sleep and I'm still knackered to be honest.

We ate far too much, talked about what dad would say if he were there and we laughed too. I liked that part the best, talking about dad and laughing. When you first lose someone close, you don't believe that you will ever be able to do that.

OK, so I'm back and I'm fat and tired but I'm kinda happy too, even though I have to diet ha ha!

When we got back home, we spent the next day with an old lady called Dot. She was widowed a few days after we lost dad. her husband used to work with my dad and viewed him as the son he never had. So, as it was her anniversary too, we spent the afternoon with her. We had tea and cake and looked at old photos and reminisced.

It's not been what you'd call a fun holiday, but it's been nice and I have really enjoyed it.

It sure is nice to be back though.

Week 29

I'm just popping in goodbye really.

I'm not gonna be around till after the weekend.

Me, mum and sis are off to the coast for a few days. We are off to the place where we scattered some of dad's ashes.

We go there every year on the day 18th July. It's been 6 years this year and if I live to be 100 with dementia, I will never forget that day. I'll never forget how I tried desperately to give dad mouth to mouth and how even though I managed to bring him back three times, we still lost him.

We will go and sit on the harbour front which is where we actually scattered the ashes. We always buy some doughnuts and feed them to the seagulls like we did on that day. We will sit and think if dad and talk about past family holidays at Brid when we were young. Most importantly, we will laugh at remembered memories.

Anyway, I will miss you guys. I miss a lot of you already. I have been going to work earlier and thus, not staying up as late to make up for the hours I'll miss for not working this week.

Because of this, I have not been around to chat to some of you much this month. Damn timezones. After this month is done and I have caught up my hours, I will be around to chat more again.

I hope you all have a fantastic time this weekend and if you get the chance to stop and think of the name Eric, I would be so grateful. You all know the story I told about how saying the deceased's name makes them live on in the afterlife according to Egyptian religion.

I love you guys.

Bye for now.

Week 27

Happy 4TH of July to all my American chums.

So, this week. Well, we have been dog sitting max again.

He really is a cutie but he's a cheeky little thing.

The other day my sis shows me a bruise on her arm where he gave her a nibble. He was trying his hardest to hump her arm and when she kept brushing him aside, he tried to hold her arm still. Rather her than me, I tell you.

Every day so far, he has managed to unearth my knickers from the washing basket. Dirty little thing likes nothing better than to chew on them. Yuck.

We have been buying him treats but rather than eat them, he likes to hide them for later. We are finding things all over the place.

Bless, he is a sweetie but a very energetic little puppy. I wouldn't be able to cope with him full time. Makes me realise how wonderful and undemanding my cockatiel is.

Me and my cockatiel have a new game where I bury a little ball in his sand and when my back is turned, he digs it up. We are both having more fun with this than is probably healthy.

So, this week has been very animally.
